What a fuckin awesome game between Boston and St. Louis. Tight on both sides. Couple fights. Lots of big hits. The biggest being Oshie and Krejci hooking up and Krejci getting the worst. He got leveled and spun around and hit the boards. Looks like he could have broken his nose because TJ's helmet him him in the face initially. That was playoff type hockey. Very exciting. Rask and Halak were both amazing. Horton got stung twice on goal reviews with no go... Oshie was a fucking beast. This game lived up to the billing. Two young and exciting teams. Seguin had a beautiful goal in shootout. But hes a bust, right Steve

Great to hear Kyle, more good news, the Leafs are sailing into the bottom 5. We really want you guys to draft Couturier and complete the dynasty.

The Blues are looking sexy. I am calling that team as the Blackhawks of last year. They play the right way. F they continue like that, they will be playing in June.

I had not seen Eklunds column as I had been on the road this afternoon, but when I arrived at Staples I was told by a member of the press that two sources, one from Canada, claimed that Calgary had offered Jarome Iginla to the Kings in exchange for Brayden Schenn, Andrei Loktionov, Thomas Hickey and the Kings 1st round pick. He also went on to say that this will probably be confirmed by a legitimate Canadian newspaper. Calgary fans will think I'm crazy, or maybe its the food poisoning I got tonight from a bad Steak Sandwich, but I wouldn't do that deal.

Rumour, more than likely has no validity especially when it is on HB.

Essentially what his coach accused him of. Dunno who Sutter thinks he is talking to though, Iggy deserves notably more respect then he's currently being given.

The top organization don't treat their long-time greats like this (note, I consider this an area where the Leafs have consistently been brutal), teams like COL, DET, NJD seem to be able to a) keep things within the dressing room, & b) give respect even in the face of challenging times. Ignoring band-wagon like fans is crucial, sadly I think too many GM's & coaches respond to the monthly cycle of some fans.


And yes, I did just kinda-imply that Kovy & Zach are not long time greats for the Devil's.... that title belongs to Marty who they treat with serious level of respect. A fantastic detroit team found a spot for Mikey, whereas an okay Dallas team told him he wasn't of use anymore.

--- If Dean can finally pull the trigger on a deal that would put them into the top contending group he'll finally warrant some of the insane praise he consistently receives from fans and the media --- Landing Iggy w/o losing a significant roster piece would be such a deal --- Smyth - Kopitar - Iginla would be a VERY good line, right in line with Marleau - Jumbo - Heaters, Semin - Backstrom - Ovi, Lucic - Krecji - Horton & of course Sedin x2 + whoever.

Bingo. Some of the stuff that gets put in the public eye does nothing but hurt the team and the player involved. It is a strategy I dont agree with.

Not as offensively dominant, however infinitely more responsible in their own zone, and capable of competing in ALL facet's of the game. They've also managed to produce in practically EVERY Bruins game... so even though they don't have 4 or 5 goal games... they also don't seem to have 0 point games or ever cost their team. On their off-nights the Caps top line needs to be broken up, as they are costing their team too much. The line is representative of the team in both cases.

Leafs are on Fire. Keep it up. Tank Nation is alive and well.
