Man, if only I could decide who's winning this hit I'd be game for using it to pick Zucker with (or trade for Hamonic).

Meh, Kareem can be reasonable if approached with a proper offer.

It'll be interesting to see if he makes the Islanders out of camp this year, or if he spends a year on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.... they have a couple of D-men I'd wager they want to bring in as a unit... however, that young of a unit has it's risks.

De Hann - Hamonic- Niemi - Katic all on the quick path; Kessel - Ness - Donovan all on the longer NCAA route.

Hillen, Gervais & Streit are IMO the only NHL quality guys they currently have up... Streit at the ripe age of 33...LOL... Hillen who as the Colicovo voodoo curse on him as well.

Most of the time I'm reasonable, but when it comes to certain prospects (Hamonic, MSP, Kadri, Holland) I am very hard to deal with...

Just got off the road so will be making my three picks shortly. Just sorting through some trade offers - if you want 60,61,62 now's the time to act. Looking to package with prospects for forwards.

There s a little probleme, Edmonton took Greg McKegg at 42nd pick and Toronto took Greg McKegg at 60 I believe. So Toronto need to pick again.

lol well I personally don't draft players for what team they're on. I'd probably rather McKegg be in a better team's system lol.

I'd bet money that you wouldn't have taken Mckegg if your pick was last week. Likewise with Shep and Ross...

I dunno, I'd had talks with both Shep & Billy about Ross... so i'm not sure that's fair to say.

And between yourself & shook I doubt McKegg fell very far.

ps-> Our system is actually Burke's system, which is as good as anyone's in the NHL (one of the most proven track records).

I liked Ross for sure. Taking him at 36 when he went 43rd in the real draft isn't that far off.

But yes, him being a Leaf was the deciding factor. 100%.

Just know he was one of three I was eyeing at 36 before. Leaf factor trumped all though.

mckegg would have gone 50 + had he not been a leaf. everyone knew about the guy and liked him but without the leaf factor he doesnt rise to 42....not saying this makes you dumb..well...kinda but if he turns into a fan fave into toronto its worth the mispick.

He should have been a secound rounder, this is a guy I watched as much as Seguin and Hall, less than Burmistrov. The fact that he played in Eerie, combined with his poor first season put him under the radar a little bit, but there is no doubt in my mind that Mckegg makes it as a top 6 NHL'er, you can quote me on that.

Unfortunately for me the Leafs took him, and what should have been a sleeper instead become one of the most talked about, and well known picks...Next yr I want the top 2 rounds to be done before the real draft, because frankly I think it's ridiculous as currently formated.

I'd like that too but then again I am sticking to my guns. I took weal who I wanted at 45 he was ranked early to mid 40's by everyone but went 70th so maybe it is helping me at the same time.
