FTR I was a HUGE fan of Kane before this season, IMO the Thrashers have really fucked up his development, I'm not as confident he will reach his massive potential now.facey wroteCOLONwell... the Giants were actually that stacked.. but in many ways not... CPZ lead the CHL in scoring did he not? and yet Evander scored 48 goals in 60 games as a 17 year old... burst onto being the teams #1 weapon...
The only other guy in the top 10 in last years draft who is ALMOST 2010 eligible is Schenn.. who was picked after Kane IIRC... so if they were both 2010 eligible why would that change? because you consider Kane rushed now? he got injured... but damn did he look good @ WC (as an 18 you'll note... in fact, he's 18 until training camp).
Kane played on the WHL line in WJC with Sonne & Benn... and it was our best 5v5 line (benn & kane were insane IIRC)... but your right... he didn't tear apart juniors again like Hall or Schenn... or Kadri or Seguin... is there any doubt that he would have ?
ps -> he knocked cooke the fuck out.

Re: Entry Draft Discussion
your pick was great too as Tarasenko is a high-end talent and has size. I was really torn between Burmistrov and Skinner but I felt that Burmistrov's attributes will transfer over to the nhl better.Snipeshow wroteCOLONAwesome pick Arian.

I love Burmistrov too. It really helps that he's already over here playing too. That's my worry with Tarasenko.Arian wroteCOLONyour pick was great too as Tarasenko is a high-end talent and has size. Re: Entry Draft Discussion
Arian just took the steal of this draft class as far as I'm concerned, if I knew Burmistrov would fall to 10 two months ago I NEVER would have dealt that pick to Billy...FML

Re: Entry Draft Discussion
Shep taking the exact approach I anticipated, my guess is he takes Kabanov next...

he's getting the 3rd/4th & perhaps 5th highest-ceiling/most skilled/best forwards in the draft... they just have bust factors in terms of being GREAT in the NHL.
Re: Entry Draft Discussion
I was _ that close to taking Skinner. It was going to be him or Granlund, however Skinner going 11th made my decision VERY easy.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONShep taking the exact approach I anticipated, my guess is he takes Kabanov next...

nice pick with watson hongster , he should be very solid for quite a while in the big leagues
Re: Entry Draft Discussion
selection coming, sorry had to wake up & give the list due diligence for any new information. No change is coming, aside from Shep, anyone want to guess who it is?

I told you last night; and I thought I was too obvious when asking you about him @ the combine back when that was the hot news.

Thankfully the correct combination of 'considering' other names and bashing other names means the unmentioned is not considered...assuming its well played... thankfully TSN never did a special on him, LOL.... some of our american members might know him a little better given the location of the scouting reports that are huge on him.
Scouting Combine Performance : Bjugstad gets my vote for best all around performance at the scouting combine. He was simply amazing at almost any station he was challenged with.

add in dominant showing for USA Under-18 team at the 2009 Four Nations Cup in Finland.. pretty happy that we've been incredibly CHL biased so far.
