Semin was a healthy scratch? wow. What is going on in WAS? Iginla needs a benching himself or maybe a trade....

Honestly, Semin was the easiest player for Boudreau to sit to try and light a fire.

Backstrom? No, he's been sick.
Oveckin? Just imagine the backlash.
Green? Hurt.

Other than that, any healthy scratch makes no difference to the team as no player is good enough, and playing bad enough to be a healthy scratch that would be a "shock" to bring a spark to the team.

It was more advanced than that, my theory is that Sidney Crosby has somehow tapped into the matrix. It is the only rational conclusion, really.

You're surprised? Really...Semin leads the team with 15 minor penalties, none of them sticking up for his team mates, or roughing it up, has a weak 9 points in 18 games, and is a -3. None of this is to mention the intangibles that Semin lacks. It's only a matter of time before he is traded/flees to the KHL.

Bergfors on waivers and Beleskey clears? Some crazy names going on waivers this year. A let down for both of those names.

I remember owned Bergfors, his stats were always there in past years, I remember he was outscoring Kovy at the start of the trade. He must just be a giant asshole.. haha

On a lighter note I just bought Leaf Ranger tickets! Now seeing more Leaf games than I'd ever seen in a year in toronto. So far 1-0 when attending this season.

It would be the guy i made the Kesler Kessel deal with. That is a pretty good looking trade now eh. Both ways.

Kesler + 2nd

for

Kessel + 5th

Good hockey trade.

General hockey post/rant:

-The Flames are fucking terrible and need to liquidate that team immediately or else they delay the rebuild another 1-2 years. Iginla needs to go along with half of there other players.

-I cant believe how bad the Isles have been. I thought they would have taken that second step in development. Wow, did i dump Okposo at just the right time, he blows.

-Washington has some major issues going on. OV has been BRUTAL and lazy. Same goes for Semin. The once dominating and exciting team seems to have lost interest lately. Not sure what will fix there woes. They are so stacked it is not even funny.

-Boston - Buffalo rematch tonight. First game since Lucic took out Miller. All hype? Will anything happen? I am predicting that Thomas runs Kaleta while Kaleta is trying to run Thomas, with a blocker to the head. :D

-What is going on in Anaheim? Perry/Getzlaf/Ryan has been very disappointing so far?

it's been a strange fuckin season overall.

the leading scorers list is so vastly different than is has been in recent years. early on everyone was saying "oh, its so early, the usual suspects will be back eventually" but we're fuckin a quarter of the way through and it still looks like this:

1. Phil Kessel
2. Joffrey Lupul
3. Claude Giroux
4. Kris Versteeg
5. Thomas Vanek

Stamkos? Ovechkin? Thornton? Staal? Getzlaf? Perry? Iginla? Nash? St. Louis?

Personally I'm waiting for the "Lupul made Kessel" excuses.

I'm not a Leaf fan but i must admit its pretty cool to see Kessel and Lupul putting on a clinic with no end in sight...

The nasty part is that they have spent a majority of this season apart from Tim Connolly who has been far and away the best centerman on this team.
