Henrik Lundqvist

Career .920 goalie still playing at a high level
4 more years at $8.5m all but guaranteeing he'll be the starter for the rest of his contract
Top 10 goalie in BBKL this year

I can take lots of cap back however I'm currently up against the contract limit so as a deadline move this might be tricky to do until I clear some space in the offseason or make other moves.

Interested in futures, high upcoming picks, young impact defenceman
Open to ideas

People will always bite if the price is right. Issue is NYR may not be as good as they typically were going forward so the wins category may not be where it usually is...

True, but I mean really that could happen with a lot of teams. He's currently on pace for about the same amount of wins he's had in the last 4-5 years and a similar save percentage. It's not like the Rangers haven't been bad and relying on him to bail them out for a while

Nah, Pekka Rinne should be the one everyone is bidding to get. Wins, sv%, he's got it all!

All i can say is im SO glad i didnt overpay for bishop and went with markstrom...
Lehtonen when he plays, had been way more reliable of a goalie in proportion. Just expensive for a backup

it really would've been
i mean
vancouver is a shit team but nobody expected these kinda numbers from their goalies, who are actually saving their faces in relation to their standings (dismal difference in GAA and SV% btwn bishop/markstrom and only 7 wins difference lol)
not to mention its crazy how vancouver who are just 6 games behind .500 is second last in conference, where in the east, a team 5 games above .500 can get a WC2 spot lolll

dallas on the other hand, who are loaded and brought in bishop in hopes to securing at least a top 2 spot in their division through GOALTENDING help, barely sucking penis for pennies to stay alive in the WC spot

really a reverse effect on what these respective teams wanted out of their goalie use lol

And that's where Dallas went wrong. Expecting Bishop to be significantly better than what they already had. Still haven't learned their lesson.

I'm not a big fan of Bishop but are we looking at the same numbers? Bishop is a .918 this year and Markstrom is a .910

To be fair Lehtonen is also a .918 this year after a .902 last year so it's probably more the team than the goalie. Wasn't a big fan of that Bishop signing
