since you went into it, here (through the end of that page)
http://bbkl.ca/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1220 ... 20#p213068 is the latest discussion we had on the subject 2 yrs ago, as a result of the request brought up by BOS GM (former CC chief who always advocated for that in the earlier BBKL yrs, but on CSB there was no practical way to implement the use of in-week injury callups. There is that possibility on Fantrax instead).
I wouldn't be on board with it either if it wasn't to be 'regulated consistently', but obviously it would if we ever happen to implement something like that.
As for Radulov, if it makes you feel better Hornqvist went AWOL for me.. sat out Pens 7-4 Win tonight
it's good to see older discussion on this actually.
naturally it would be up to FT commishes to make the changes in FT for the teams requiring the changes.
One thing from those posts that I liked was naming replacements prior to the weeks
would be a non-starter otherwise (as it may actually give an advantage out of the injury)
If a team makes their roster submission post, they can designate 2 F, 1 D and 1 G (maybe?)
I think it would be absolutely right to have the chance to name more than 1 replacement for Fs & Ds, as bad luck can mean several injuries at the same position, but one thing for sure, they'd need to be ordered, i.e. GM would have to establish at the time of roster submission who would be the first recall, and so on. They can't have the option to choose the callup depending on how the matchup is going.
Another interesting option brought up in that discussion was dropping the bench cap hit for playoffs. Would mean resembling more closely what happens in the NHL cap-wise and would also add to BBKL some sort of 'rental' concept, which is otherwise missing from BBKL while being the main character at the NHL deadline:
a BBKL team would be encouraged to pay at our deadline to add a player even if it can't afford him under the cap in regular season. Hence some high salary players would have a market at the deadline, and rebuilders could get assets out of those unlike now. At the same time, before next season roster submission the contender will probably have to move again that high salary player, making him a bit like a rental and somehow increasing trades activity over the off season.
I'd be on board with that in the playoffs only
as mentioned already, we never considered adding that option for the RS.
