NHLers for futures
Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
You can try to turn this into a shit storm if you like, Matthew, but the plain fact is that you've posted the best offer so far and I've declined it. I'm under no obligation to trade any of these players for less than I think they are worth. To me, a 25 year old who is one year removed from a 22 goal season is worth more than the 32nd overall pick. You chose not to counter, instead of offer an ultimatum of accept your offer or it's off the table. I chose the latter. I appreciate the offer, but if you can't accept a courteous decline, then you need to re-evaluate your attitude towards trading.
Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
Title needs to be changed since now both every day NHLer and best pick offered aren't true haha.
I have no problem with you keeping an asset if you feel it is being undervalued though and #32 is far from a guaranteed NHLer.

Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
Which part is not true? I will accept the best pick offered if I think the value is there. Considering there are still 31 other picks on the table not to mention unlimited prospect addon options, I'm not sure I've seen the best offer possible yet.
Who knows, maybe I accept an offer and leave a better one on the table. Maybe I will get a better offer than Scherbak and 32nd.
Now if we are done arguing semantics, care to make an offer Matty?

There will be an ESPN 30 for 30 on how Pirri didn't win the Cy YoungLee wroteCOLONThought he was playing baseball. Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
Wouldn't beat the offer, but did tell NJ that a 2nd was fair when he said he was going to offer that. Also said you had a hard on for Pirri and likely wouldn't take it and you definitely still have that hard on for him.Lee wroteCOLONWhich part is not true? Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
I like him for sure. Didn't think my ask was over the top, a late 1st who had an okay year in the AHL and an early 2nd for a 25 year old every day NHL goal scorer.
Matthew thought differently so here we are. People are allowed to have opinions, that's what's great about a free society.
I previously traded Pirri for 14th overall. I'm not expecting that kind of return again but I do expect more of a return that 32nd overall. If I don't get it then we will see Pirri look like a pumpkin next year.

Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
One thing to look forward to Pirri about is his potential move to center in Anaheim along with his reasonable salary. I have him pegged in at about 1.5 mil on a one year "prove it" kind of deal.

Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
I was going to offer on Pirri but I couldn't find his playoff stats. Are they not updated on hockeydb?
Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
First mistake was using hockey DB. Not updated because non existent. He was injured.

Oh. Wondered why he only played 9 games. Thx.
Will hold off for now.

Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
Any reason for choosing Hockey DB over Elite Prospects? EP offers so so so much more information.
Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
I offered a mid 2nd+3rd but it seems the offer of 32 was deemed better.Bruyns wroteCOLONWouldn't beat the offer, but did tell NJ that a 2nd was fair when he said he was going to offer that. I use both db and elite prospect.
For pirri i used db because he isnt elite.

Re: Every day NHLers for best pick offered.
Just FYI, the trade was declined because of the ultimatum. I said it was the best offer, counter offered with something I'd accept now, then was told that the offer of 32 was only valid for 30 minutes. I had no interest in accepting that offer in the next 30 minutes so I declined, politely, to save us both our time.Bruyns wroteCOLONTitle needs to be changed since now both every day NHLer and best pick offered aren't true haha.
