what bbkl lines would work best in the nhl?

using the roster submission thread as a reference. what bbkl lines would dominate the nhl?

ovechkin - crosby - versteeg -----> just way too much talent.

stamkos - stastny - kessel ---> two elite snipers, 1 elite playmaker...yes.

neal - kopitar - p. kane ---> homer pick, but seriously...they would kill.

e. kane - tavares - hall ----> super fun to watch and would dominate in a few years.

Burrows - Carter - Brown
Fleischmann - Roy - Clowe
Dubinsky - Hanzal - Laich
Ryder - McClement - Clarkson

Those forwards would be tough to handle..

well.. despite scott killing this thread by posting his entire team (breaking up flash and liach???), i like the idea of this thread and think I will add.

iMhO Kyle's potential line of Zetty-Getz-Iggy would be a nightmare to play against, there is no proper way to line up against that line, they can beat you however/whichever way you want them to, skill, work ethic, physical play, defence, 1-1, shooting, dangling... frigging amazing, complete players.

in terms of neat pairings, It's my dream to see Phaneuf-Weber .... shit would be insane.... obviously my 2 favorite dman in the NHL.

a line that could run a forecheck like no other is Shook's: Kulemin-E.Staal-Comeau, they are all amongst the best puck chasers* in the NHL



Mike in Toronto could dress a line that has some insane hands, all euro: Franzen-Antro-Hemsky... health may or may not be an issue





* a term i just made up to describe a forward that consistently retrieves the puck, wins races, and can rarely be seen making a turnover.

I know i listed them this way, but it would be a mistake as a coach, Hall and Kane could probably play well together, but it would be a poor use of JT, ideally E and T would be with another North-South type player like Sutter (to find an example from my own roster), or perhaps someone to really push the pace like Wheeler. But suddenly this isn't an elite BBKL line... however i do like Benn-JT-Okposo ... if they are ever off the IR.... time will tell with a bunch of these guys.

Burrows - Carter - Brown

it would be neat, but once again... I dunno if they'd mesh, burrows is the up the wing guy for the sedins, that's excatly where Jeff plays, and Brown wouldn't really be on offensive par with the other two (board player, less rush)... on your team i'd really like to see: Burrows-Duby-Brown as a checking/energy line, would be elite at their job, draw tons of penalties.

Semin - Ryan - Downie

ye, this I suddenly like a LOT, hopefully downie can keep the energy up and the target on his back though.

Stamkos, Tavares and Kessel have all world skills...They can each pass as well as score, it's why they are such elite players.
