Yeah, this seems completely unfair to lee. Why not move the pick back one spot like it should have been at the end of the year. Doesn't seem like there should be any reason to wait until after the lottery. It goes against common sense. Punishing lee big time for another teams offense.

The percentage to get mcdavid should fall a small amount because he moves back. Once he wins the draft lottery, you can't even tell how far he should be sliding back given shoalzies math calculation, because you can't allot how many points lee is then differentiated from the Dallas pik, Detroit pick, edm pick etc.

Ya there is the new formula for the penalties, I just meant the penalties were always post lottery I thought so didn't realize there was even a controversy about it.

Obvs If that is status quo can't change it now, but you guys should change it in the future.

Like, what if that pick was #1? With the post lottery format, it guarantees that the worst team can absolutely not get the #1 pick, and in all likelihood will pick #3. It's so bloody ridiculous removing the chance of another team to win the lottery because a team misses gp. Pre lottery is so obviously better.

It is as though lee is being punished twice.

the only two CC members who had an opinion on it said POST lottery, as done in the past, so that's what we're doing.

As for pick compensation, it depends when the pick was acquired. Please post when the pick was acquired.


The only remaining OTT pick Billy holds is his 7th, which will also be moved back one spot.
