Yup, I took the bait. With some uncertainty to if Bennett sticks around past 9 games, I needed to add some salary as insurance. I was also interested in Meszaros and his $4+ million cap hit. McKenzie is a wild card prospect at best. I'll be curious to see how he can follow up his R.O.Y. season with the Texas Stars.

I was excited about him until they got to the playoffs and his productions dipped a bit...27 goals in the regular season down to just 3 in the entire Calder Cup playoffs. He wasn't a high-production player at Miami in college...played more of a grinder role and averaged around a point every 2 games. I don't know where this jump in production came from but it could be his linemates in Texas.
