No doing anything with non-blue chip prospects and names won't help your cause
It's the fringe stuff that adds up to big stuff.

It's possible. The Wings farm system is loaded with defensemen right now. If you stand out from the rest...you probably won't get the call.
Re: NSH/TBL - getting less rare
Nick, all the deals you have made lately have zero impact on your team.
Re: NSH/TBL - getting less rare
I was SCARED when I saw shoalzie posted in this thread... fortunately it is only to comment the deal this time around
btw, we are both taking risks.. for me the risk is he gets traded to another team where he would be given a fair chance (I'd never make this deal if knowing a trade will indeed occur), for Nick the risk is he has had enough with the Red Wings and doesn't want to stick around another season in AHL.
That's why he got him for cheap though, he is better than your ordinary 3rd rounder..
besides.. Rafalski did go to Europe once upon a time, but that didn't prevent him to contribute later on at the NHL level.. it's just with my fat roster I wouldn't have the room to wait for him to come back.

Funny you say that because I forgot to process Nick's deal with Billy involving that 3rd rounder so I was about throw a flag until I caught my own error. Your deal is kosher.
