2014 NHL Trade Deadline

Post by The BBKL Insider »

Post predictions below.

I've talked to Nonis and requested an Upgrade on Gardiner and Raymond.

I also asked him not to trade Kulemin as he's been solid this year.

change of heart (question mark - keyboard is doing stupid É thing.)

So I agree with the sentiment that we can find a guy to do Kulemin's job for cheaper.
Maybe the leafs trade Kulemin for something and sign Komarev to a 2 year 4mil contract? he can play the exact same role and even a bit grittier.
just trade Kulemin
our best players were Kulemin (hard for me to admit - i hate him and Dion)
i dont even like kulemin,
i still hate kulemin
i'd value Korpi at Kulemin, and people know i hate Kulemin

funny tho, cause i like Korpi,,,i just think Kuelmin is overrated because he's a leaf..when he's traded (at the 10 game mark - when clarkson is back) the blue aid will clear up and everyone will see how bad kuelmin really is.
i, for one, i'm not a kulemin fan, but he played injured most of the year, he'll be fine imo
i'm not the biggest Kulemin fan; tbh, i'd rather trade Kully and keep Mac.
Fyi - kulemin is total junk

change of heart, yes. I use to despise Kulemin, i thought his game was awful. but now that he's been switched to more of a shut-down role i enjoy watching him play. I still think we could replace him in the offseason with Kamorov, but at this point i think he's better than Raymond.

at lot of work searching the threads to pull up those quotes....could have just asked "change or heart, i thougth you hated Kulemin" and i would have agreeded with the statement.

I still think he's replaced by someone cheaper in the Offseason...however, if we're going to fight for a playoff spot i'd keep him over Raymond, who has been the worse of the 2 in the past month or 2.

Rumours all over sportsnet and tweeter that the leafs have been scouting the Yotes hard this past week and a week before the olympic break.

Aren't they flighting for a playoff spot? doesn't seem to make sense to move Yandle...however i'd be all over Gards + 1st ++ to get Yandle.

You guys want to trade Gardiner + 1st + ___ for Yandle? Are you high? He's awful defensively.

Why would we want Yandle? The ONLY way we move Jake IMO is if we get a guy who protects our side of the rink + can also move the puck + is also signed and not a pending UFA + is not 30 years old.

The one exception would be a player like Giordano but I think we'd ask for an add as would CGY so that probably wouldn't happen.

Dion needs help, i think a top pairing of Dion + yandle would be incredible.

Big min eating dman...would also relieve dion from needing to make stupid plays to get the forwards the puck..

Yandle is a great fantasy dman. I do not want him on the Leafs though.
