Look Im not a JVR fan, Flyer fan and especially not a Leaf fan. But as long as I've known anything about JVR, everything I've ever read or heard about him has always been he's a power forward. I've never heard, read or equated him as a finesse player in any way.kyuss wroteCOLONnever played like one as a Flyer, unless being a big winger automatically means being powerfulChuck Norris wroteCOLONHe was considered a power forward in the making when he was drafted by the Flyers...kyuss wroteCOLONwhich is true, but weird to think he went from primarily a finesse player to a power forward by wearing the Leafs jerseyMSP4LYFE wroteCOLONIf you disagree you haven't seen JVR play very often in a Leafs uniform.kyuss wroteCOLONJVR a power forward?

Re: CHI/BUF: the first domino
JVR was always a power winger, but never went to the dirty areas of the ice consistently. Once he was traded to Toronto Carlyle demanded that JVR crash the crease, and battle down low or he wouldn't play. There were some early growing pains, but the long term results speak for themselves. JVR is the Leafs best threat in tight, and has gotten much better at protecting the puck and driving the net. JVR won't be confused with a classic PF like Lucic, but he is more than deserving of the 'hybrid pf' tag.kyuss wroteCOLONwhich is true, but weird to think he went from primarily a finesse player to a power forward by wearing the Leafs jerseyMSP4LYFE wroteCOLONIf you disagree you haven't seen JVR play very often in a Leafs uniform.kyuss wroteCOLONJVR a power forward?
Re: CHI/BUF: the first domino
ye, not a crash and bang PF like Lucic, Stewart, Kane, former-bertuzzi, new-burns etc... but as kareem said a physical but not-dirty semi-PF Nash, Landy, Hossa, Stafford & how Scheifele looks to be developing.
Re: CHI/BUF: the first domino
So... Not a pwfwd lol but clarkson will be our fineness
Re: CHI/BUF: the first domino
yeah that's what i think about when talking of 'power forwards'.. guys like Lucic, E.Kane, Stewart... Keith Tkachuk looking at the past...MSP4LYFE wroteCOLON JVR won't be confused with a classic PF like Lucic, but he is more than deserving of the 'hybrid pf' tag.
Re: CHI/BUF: the first domino
i wouldn't call scheifele a power forward!
I could be wrong though, I make it a point not to watch the Jets play now...

Re: CHI/BUF: the first domino
I actually like watching the Jets play. They make lots of mistakes which leads to high scoring games lol. And they have enough skill on their team (Kane, Wheeler, Byfuglien) to be entertaining. I'll be watching the CHI-WPG game on a stream while watching the PIT-NYR game on TV.KapG wroteCOLONi wouldn't call scheifele a power forward!

It's well documented on here, but I very much dislike Claude Noel. He doesn't get his team to play a very exciting brand of hockey. Sure they have a few good players but all they do is fucking dump and chase allll day. At least it seems that way. To me, that's boring to watch 24/7.

Not always. I think the hockey they play yo-yos between exciting and not exciting. E.g. their powerplay is fun to watch. I think tonight's tilt will Chicago will be fun. Chicago might win 5-2 lol but it will be fun to watch.KapG wroteCOLONSuperMario wroteCOLONI actually like watching the Jets play. They make lots of mistakes which leads to high scoring games lol. Yep, I selected Crawford for tonight on FanDuel. I think a 4-1/4-2 victory is likely.KapG wroteCOLONchicago is HOT right now, I expect a blowout.

It's one of those games though where an unexpected win for WPG could happen. I have the CHI tandem in play vs Shoalzie too, so I'd be fine with a blowout.KapG wroteCOLONsafe pick man. especially with them playing IN chicago.SuperMario wroteCOLONYep, I selected Crawford for tonight on FanDuel. Re: CHI/BUF: the first domino
I think Noel has WPG playing some of the most exciting hockey in the NHL. I go out of my way to watch all of their games.
Re: CHI/BUF: the first domino
I've got more exciting teams to watch. To each their own though!
