Shep wroteCOLONI thought your trade forced you to take Jones or something?
when Pete owned the pick. Now he is allowed to take Nate or Drouin if he wants them. In real life I don't think it is close but bbkl wise, nate is probably number 1. Hard choice for Steve but one I wish I had the option of like he does.
All 3 looked good in game - dunno how they gave so many assists to Drouin though.... TSN reported he assisted over all 6 moose-head goals... i don't even recall him on the ice for 2 of them - def not in the plays...
Jones easily had his best game of the tourney, except MacKinnon had his best as well, utterly dominant - skating, puck battles, strong face-offs, good hits, and of course, 3g2a. I thought both teams look VERY good tbh - Frk was stellar, Pouliot had a great game,Wotherspoon was mean, Rutowski was good, Rattie was tactical,Abeltshauser, MacAulay, etc. really really good teams. Does make you wonder how 'legit' the management systems are in the CHL for 3 or 4 teams to get SO stacked. ( Like Windsor, Brampton, Vancouver, etc in years past). London & Kelowna very much the consistent franchises regardless of top top end entry selections.
It was a pretty good weekend for Nova Scotians, particularly those in Cole Harbour.
On Friday, the small town’s most noteworthy athlete, Sidney Crosby, saw his Pittsburgh Penguins advance to NHL’s Eastern Conference final as he seeks his second Stanley Cup. Meanwhile on Sunday, Nathan MacKinnon, the potential “next” Sidney Crosby, scored a hat trick as his Halifax Mooseheads won the Memorial Cup.
And in the middle of it all, Saturday night at UFC 160 in Las Vegas, T.J. Grant delivered a big upset with a tremendous knockout of Gray Maynard — and in the process earned a shot at the UFC’s lightweight championship.
I hate sportsnet, but they actually got an article right, we are by far the most dominant people
TSN, of course, will broadcast it. Rumor has it we'll be on air live for entire draft. Gotta figure over-under is 7.5 hours. #taketheover

NHL Draft is set for Sunday June 30 in Newark, NJ. 3 pm ET start time. It's a one-day shot this year, all 7 rounds on same day. #yikes
means i have to get up at 3am to watch it......and luckily it's a public holiday in HK on 1 Jul
Literally heard this morning that Drouin was going to be the only one of the 3 that was going to do it.
Pussies.
When I worked the combine, the only guy that didn't do the tests was Taylor Hall because he was coming off an injury. I forget the injury, but he still did some of the events. So maybe it was an upper body and he did lower body stuff, or vice versa.
The top 3 picks are now not going to do the tests? Bushleague. Unless you have a legit injury and not just "banged up" you can put forth an effort to complete these tests.
Nope. Not for 2 days of work out. Only one of the tests is physically exerting. They need to be able to handle the rigors of an 82 game NHL season + playoffs. Playing 90 games than laying off these tests is pretty lame on their part.
