No way. Big body prospect with a complete tool set,
elite work ethic, good attitude and a history of big game heroics; YES PLEASE.
the funny thing is, if he was Russian and was demanding a trade like this, he would be insulted and called out for his bad attitude;
Nino does that --> it's only the Islanders' fault and his attitude get praised

I agree, the double standard is disgusting.
I also agree. If he was a Russian it would be a "typical Russian".
I remember nino uttering racial and religious slanders towards Kadri in the past (I am sure it was a mutual conversation though), as well as other similar rumors of pour taste. Those were brushed aside without question. It is possible that this kids attitude is not as great as everyone seems to believe. I don't know him or the NYI organization but it is funny how everyone just gives him a pass without once questioning him. I personally hate this move by him and it makes me like him a lot less.
I have no double standards for things like this as I believe it is a character flaw. Lindros, Wheeler, Umberger, Hodgson etc are all players I dislike for doing this same thing. It is one thing to want a trade like Rick Nash did after investing a large portion of your professional career to a place, but doing it before paying your dues I do have issues with.
