Moulson is a winner piece, if he keeps up what he is expected of him. He doesn't only score goals. Purcell has his big fat contract starting and only risk to look forward to over how consistently he will produce. Bigger gamble with keeping Purcell. In the end, the depth is good enough too... Boychuk seriously better start hauling his ass too.

Moulson is a strong piece to add, no doubt but still a very solid pull by Hong though.

Obviously I paid a shit load for Moulson.

3 straight 30 goal seasons, he had 80+ hits in 2010-2011 and 120+ hits in 2009-2010. So he's had less every year, but it shows he's not afraid to throw his weight around. I'm hoping that turns around.

He's Line 1 all year, PP 1 all year, as Tavares gets better I expect his goals and point totals to get better.

It's a lot to pay, but in the end it's a playoff team's 1st, Boychuk who may or may not make the team, and a late 2nd in 2014 for an upgrade in just about every stat category.
