I'd take Stolarz Subban and Howard.

Another option could be taking both elliott and Johnson and ending up with an 1A and 1B goalie for the same NHL team (calgary). And then a 3rd young prospect goalie w starter upside. That way he locks in 82 gp.

I'm not so sure Elliot is going to be back in Calgary, big question marks on his future

Doesn't he have a few years left on that contract?

Either way I like Howard + stolarz + forsberg better than Elliot now.

Yeah he's a UFA, he was doing alright at redeeming himself until the Flames playoff run and then he blew it again.

Edmundson too. I thought he was like 34. Turns out he is a rookie. Oops!

Won't lie until about a month ago I thought he was like 32. STL has so many guys with names like that in their 30s, so I understand what threw me off.

my neutral thoughts:

first: im a stats guy but not a corsi guy
elliot never really played more than 50g per season.. his stats are no where consistent.. his best season was with a very good blues team 5 years ago (then he fell back to earth)..
there is no reason for me to believe he will be a starter in an nhl team next season (even if he starts he may end up being back up after half of the season)

Manning, really? Like other mock as well that forward group is pretty bad. Surely Tony has better assets available than Manning as well. Goaltending is also pretty weak with 3 likely backups.

Tony really doesn't have much exposed.

i would actually switch two of my picks:

Forsberg instead of Smith from Winning.

Because of the three goalie rule i would then take Orlov over Markstrom from Montreal.

I believe markstrom may be the goalie with the best chance at being a starter (possibly howard). Not so sure Vancouver re-signs a 37 year old Ryan Miller.
