I thought we do had a cut-off on claiming waiver draft eligible guys that sign ELC...I think we need clarification on stuff like that. The same goes for the college free agents that sign deals after their season is done.

there is a deadline indeed, it was January 1st.
- After the Waiver draft, the unowned NHL-signed players will become available as free agents; however, after rosters submission, those still eligible for the 2015 Entry draft will join the pool of players reserved for it.
So basically, from the end of the Waiver Draft till January 1st the unowned NHL-signed players (not tryouts, real NHL contracts) not eligible for the 2015 BBKL Entry draft can be signed (first come first) posting a reliable link that shows the player is indeed under a NHL contract.

Eligible for the 2015 BBKL Entry draft means "bbkl-free players born between January 1st 1995 and September 15th 1997 " and "bbkl-free players born in 1994 that have not played in N.A. when 18,19 or 20yrs old" http://bbkl.ca/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=11306
Jevpalovs is born in 1994, but clearly he did play in N.A. at 18 and 19, hence he is not eligible for the 2015 BBKL Entry draft, so he would have been a BBKL free agent till January 1st if signed to a NHL contract before that date.

That was not the case and Jevpalovs BBKL signing attempt came after our January 1st deadline anyway so Jevpalovs will be reserved for our next Waiver Draft.

are you sure there hasn't been a deadline (around february) in the past? because then we would have all signed college FAs before the waiver draft..

our RS ends on March 9th, when does College RS end? i.e. what's the earliest a college guy might be signed by a NHL team?

The NCAA regular season ends on March 14...many teams are done by the 7th. The first two rounds of the big tournament is March 27–29. The Frozen Four is April 9 in Boston...the title game is the 11th.
