I'm liking that miro heiskanen is making at least 3 other gms look like fools , including Mr euro gm himself. growing his defensive game to an even higher point while adding a lethal offense to his game. read somewhere that miro and sebastian aho were the 2 most dominant u20 players in liiga over the past 30 years

people keep asking for him for mid range players but really.. at this point unless Matthews is involved , I'm pretty sure Miro is set to be a flyer for a very long time

I assume I'm one of the targets of this free early attack

Heiskanen is great, aside from his concussion he is looking even better than last season. The reason I didn't draft him is I think in terms of fantasy production Mitts was/is the safer asset, it's not like I wasn't a fan of Heiskanen. Miro doesn't play a physical game (I don't mind that in real hockey, but fantasy wise is less than ideal for a D you pick at the top end of the draft) and he is not necessarily going to be a big point producer in the NHL (it's looking probable right now, but may depend on if his team will have other PP specialists to rely on for PP1).

btw, if not Mitts, the player I would have drafted if I were to go for what I felt would have been a riskier selection was not Heiskanen.
In fact that's the player I tried to trade for during and after the draft (while I don't think I ever made an offer for Heiskanen).
I'm perfectly fine with the way Mitts has looked since the draft though, wish I would have been able to land both my early targets like I thought would happen when I selected the American.

Anyways, I can only be happy with how my '17 draftees have been looking so far.
Kostin, Tolvanen, Jokiharju, Davidsson, Elvenes, Tarasov.. all off an encouraging start, but thanks for your concern.

He is. Was arguably the most underrated top spec prior to the draft. If we had a redraft what order does everyone think they would go?

Personally for me it would be Nico, Patrick, Heiskanen, Makar, Pettersson, Glass, Mittlestadt, Vilardi

Also watching this pit-bos game... Pittsburgh is struggling hard. Non-zero chance they miss the playoffs. So bad in their own zone... feel bad for Murray.

still would pick vilardi 3rd even everyone has him dropped to 10th after the real draft.. i always like petterson he is very skilled but people were worried about his size.. but i only have a few late 1st to work to the top pick...
