Shoalzie wroteCOLONThe 8-hour window since the 4th round has been consistently enforced in this draft. I'd at least hope that people are being notified their turn is up and if they don't post their pick in time and they're skipped, that's on them.

At this stage in the game, we just want to see this through to the last pick so if 8 hour passes between turns, we've got to move on because it's happened other guys earlier in the draft. Everyone has the opportunity to still pick after the fact.

All that being said...did Nick miss out on a guy he wanted by being skipped? If not, no harm no foul. People continue to PM the next guy in line and the 8 hour window will continue to be enforced as before. I think we'd all like this done by Friday.
I'm sure it will be done by Friday, Chuck is doing his best to get the remaining ten picks

Picks 172 and 173 are officially dropped. I assume any missed picks in round 7 have to be made before the 210th pick?

I don't know iirc, but I think we made (and should make anyway) those available until midnight of the day of the last made pick.

Or maybe just officially end the draft when the NHL entry draft starts on Friday?

I'd like to think we can finish this today...Friday might not be necessary.

So well extend for all unused picks? Or are we just saying rounds 6 & 7?

Only way to prevent people from running the clock now and drafting that surprise 2nd rounder on Saturday.

Pick made and PMed Peter who is up now.

Fine with skipping picks allowed only until the start of the NHL Draft. That obviously doesn't pertain picks that have been skipping long enough to be canceled, like Colorado's couple for example.

Ya I'd just say put the remaining picks on the clock until the minute the draft starts on Friday if we don't finish by tonight.

They're only doing the 1st round on Friday...no need to start early. It's a "made for TV" event.

All of our 2014 Draft picks should be null as of the start of the 2014 NHL draft.
