Getting an active player for a backup goalie is always a solid trade. You can get stats from a 3rd or 4th liner every game...you might only get numbers from a backup in 1/3 or 1/4 of the games. Koskinen has been good so he probably won't hurt whichever team acquired him. Nothing worse than a backup goalie playing once a week and giving up 5 goals and screwing up your numbers. The deal makes sense for Fraser since all he has is Vasilevsky.

Yea after a surprise retirement from Pavelec it's left me a hole. He's been putting up great numbers early and I'm banking on him to continue be decent. But this is boom or bust. Could become the starter in Edmonton, could go back to the KHL. Time will tell.
