Nice get for Pyatt, players are always worth more in season. I remember having to settle for a late 3rd for Justin Williams a month ago.

lol.. on the other hand iirc you also got a 3rd for a just waived-demoted player.. wasn't that also before the start of the season?

But yeah, an AHLer also fetched 2 decent picks recently

Lazar could be done, but he could still have another 10 years in the NHL. 6 points in 7 AHL games isn't bad for a guy who isn't going to be a point producer.

Him in and Svechnikov to the minors is looking like the smart move right now.

the odd thing was that his price didn't change once waived, and the JW deal you brought up makes the Lazar deal and this Pyatt deal look even worse.
