I think also with this one move, cap problem is a thing of the past
Question is by league census, did mike "bail" josh out with cap troubles
Or was it a fair deal

The metro is so weak that PIT could be the 2nd best team just from adding Toews.

Pretty simple. Getting out from under an overpaid depreciating asset. Essentially getting 3 1st's one of which has the potential to be fairly high. I 100% get why Josh did it.

I like toews a lot, but this is a big price for a rebuilder/retooler.

might not be so bad if Handsome Mike can make the playoffs. Gonna be bad if that pick is in the lottery.

That's the crux of the move... my division is really weak and lots of people tanking this year so likelihood of me tanking and getting a top pick wasn't great.

As it stands, Matt may be right - hopefully should be close to top 3 with this move and have assets to continue to improve my team. Toews, although expensive and 29, is still an elite player and no guarantee those pieces become as good as him (especially not anytime soon). So hopefully both picks aren't lottery and I'll miss Carlsson. Who knows if Tiffels makes it as a 4th liner.

Josh was persistent and at the end of the day I liked the value i got. Hopefully Glass and Patrick are the real deal and elevate my team in the next couple seasons.

I just checked Mike's team, it's not too bad. He should make the playoffs in the metro.

fair deal

as much as i don't like toews and think he and hawks sucks and his cap is expensive... he will no doubt be 1C for years to come and consistently giving 50+ points with good stpts and high end FOW.. i think his points total will rebound if he play with kane more..

like it for josh for the picks.. but mike's pick last year was barely a lottery pick (at 11 and i feel so sad and 12 after losing the lottery...).. and given he's improving his team i think he can make the playoffs...
