Re: SJ-STL
don't love it. Much prefer phil the thrill. feel like coulda gotten a player of raffl's quality plus a couple better spects from someone else.
Like Fasching but not a big dauphin fan or the other spects moved.

Re: SJ-STL
honestly surprised to see this deal approved by the advisor.
Maybe I'm missing something though

Re: SJ-STL
The market for high end players seems to suck in our league this summer though. Every team who's traded for the star seems to have won the deal, even if by a tiny bit.
Re: SJ-STL
As soon as I saw this posted, I offered
Sam Gagner
Eric Gelinas
Brandon Pirri
Alex Burrows
Linden Vey
Ryan Murphy
Zach Trotman
Brandon Manning
for Kessel.
Atleast they are NHLers..

That's the issue with moving an 8M W. Contenders can't afford him and rebuilders don't want to pay up. Koomzzz isn't a new GM he has experience in this format and similar to when some GMs chimed in that I should have got more for Crosby and then no one stepped up with a better offer to Will I don't think there are GMs out there who could make an offer that would blow this away and if there is I'm sure Josh will listen and make a profit from this.

Bruyns has checked in.
Re: SJ-STL
I strongly disagree, most were part time players with limited upside. I told him others wouldn't like it and to shop him and I trust he did his due diligence. Up to Josh though, maybe he wants low end depth.bills09 wroteCOLONThis is a better offerLee wroteCOLONAs soon as I saw this posted, I offered

Re: SJ-STL
I don't love the deal but I get that the Blues need futures. It's a bold move for the Sharks.

Re: SJ-STL
But you got 3 "top-end" spects and fabbri has already established himself. I realize Kessel is << Crosby, but still prefer the quality vs quantity you got!
Not the worst deal overall but I think patience would have proven better results.
But hey, I remember coming in and trading basically all Shiv's guys pretty quickly. Totally understand where Koomzzz is at wanting to deal.

Re: SJ-STL
I needed to consolidate, he needed depth and named his pieces. He ended up getting a good chunk of the guys he asked for from me. This was agreed to a few days ago pending adviser approval and I know he was talking to other teams seeing what else would be offered before we posted anything.
0 interest in Lee's offer. Pirri is the only name I like at all from that list. Half those guys won't be in the league shortly.
