Lol I know you have Crosby but a statement like that is pretty ignorant and shows 0 respect to a player like Kunitz. Kunitz has been on the Line 1 of 2 Stanley Cup teams. He's not a 1A Winger like Rick Nash. But he's elite.

Btw this statement implies that Kunitz would see 3rd winger minutes on every NHL team and perhaps 4th winger minutes on a portion of them - but I guess this is one of those Nick things.

Atlantic

NJD - Kovalchuk, Elias
NYR - Gaborik, Nash, Callahan
NYI - none
PHI - Hartnell
PIT - Neal

Northeast

BOS - Lucic
BUF - Vanek, Pominville
MTL - Pacioretty
OTT - none
TOR - Kessel

Southeast

CAR - Semin
FLA - none
TBL - Martin St. Louis
WSH - Ovechkin
WPG - Evander Kane

Central

CHI - Hossa, Kane
CLB - none
DET - none
NSH - none
STL - Oshie, Perron

Northeast

CGY - Iginla
COL - Landeskog
EDM - Hall, Eberle
MIN - Parise
VAN - Daniel Sedin, Burrows

Pacific

ANA - Perry
DAL - Jagr, Eriksson
LAK - Carter, Brown
PHX - Doan
SJS - Marleau, Pavelski

Some names on this list are actually worse than Kunitz IMO, but I've included them anyways to remove my bias.

But that is still only 35 players. Even if we added 5 more that I've missed, that is 40 players. Where exactly are the other 60?

And if you factor in things like:

1. Being an awesome winger on the boards
2. Being an awesome shooter
3. Kunitz's ability to backcheck
4. The fact that he grinds
5. The fact that he is not a band-aid

He jumps to Top 25 even.

I think Kunitz >> Eriksson because of his ability to grind. But like I said, add any 7 more that you want because that opinion is my bias. Nick is still off by 60 after he decided to jump in here and tried to talk like he knows what he's talking about.

Hall is one that I DON'T think should be in there yet - just like Seguin. We're talking about who is better today, that's why. Also when you look at guys like Semin/Gaborik who are constantly on and off/injured etc. I'd say Kunitz is ahead of them too because he shows up night in and night out.
