sadly.. i just hope that the bottom teams would keep their OWN first round picks for gods sake..
as for injuries.. i think if it is due to unfortunate reasons that a serious amount of his players are injured, by that i mean he didn't trade for the players who are at that time injured and that they are regulars should they be healthy.. i'd agree it would be kind of stupid to try to get GPs with their picks just to meet the GP requirements as they are low on assets already.. like.. in NHL they can just call up their players from their farm team.. but in our case we can't.. so i think we should give some leeways if they are not intentionally tanking or missing GPs by acquiring injured players..

It’s a catch twenty two can’t lose GP but no one is giving up GP for 38 year old guys so they are fucked but when they also don’t place any value on GP pieces when they are offered to them what can you do. Tough situation all around bc Few people are selling GP for picks

"Gourde became the fourth rookie in Tampa Bay history to record 50 points in a season when he picked up an assist in Saturday's shootout win over Philadelphia.

Analysis:He sits fourth on the Bolts in both scoring (50) and goals (22). Gourde joins Brad Richards (62), Ondrej Palat (59) and Tyler Johnson (50)."

I lost mine last year in a retarded bet, thankfully I had Chicago’s that was #10. That said I do have this years at least :)

GP pieces are available...

I got like 20-25 games or so from Nate prosser, whom Matt sold me for a 4th or 5th...

I don’t like how both teams that finished below me didn’t make GP to be quite frank. Doesn’t seem fair, depending on the penalty.

Chicago I don’t necessarily fault the new guy. Shiv destroyed that roster. Cliff I don’t think made any attempt to remedy his gp

That depends on the GP pieces you are offering. Most of the time when a GP piece is being offered, they want the moon and the starts for that player because the selling GM knows you have to acquire the GP pieces to meet the minimum or be punished. In the NHL, a Kari Lehtonen does not get a 1st round pick, and a David Booth does not get a 3rd round pick. When there is a huge discrepancy in price/value, it tells you that something needs to be changed.

It's an interesting scenario for the rebuilding teams. In one case, I was offered a d-man who could potentially play 20-30 games next year... but my team already has too many of those what if types, so to me that player has little value. I'd rather a draft pick or a prospect instead.

You will trade your draft picks for trash and you will like it.

I’ve been in your positions and pretty much any GP you are offered under 30, if the price is fair, I’d take it with an aging roster bc not a lot of guys will be looking to do anyone favors here
