agreed with facey here. Boyd has alot of potential as well and the best part is he is a character kid. Also landing a fairly decent 30+ game goalie to play with price. If montreal signs both this deal isnt close imo. sergei has some talent but i wouldnt want him on my echl team let alone my nhl team. kid is cancer

The preds will sign one of Jonas Andersson or Alex Svitov on July 1st. Read the Andersson one and am guessing at Svitov.

The Edmonton Oilers added depth to their blueline and pared down their payroll for July 1, as the club dealt forward Patrick O'Sullivan to the Phoenix Coyotes for defenceman Jim Vandermeer on Wednesday

cool.

I fucking hate vandameer.

Preissing (COL), Pandolfo, Peters (NJ), Nokelainen (PHX), Dawes (CGY) on unconditional waivers. Eligible to be bought out if they clear.

and yet both teams bought out each player - I'm assuming the Oilers were sent a pick because they'll have to eat more cap room (in the buy-out now)

Preissing is a bumb cant play in the nhl anymore. Suprised with Dawes and Pandolfo tho. Dawes played his best hockey in cgy on a team that couldnt score. I realize Pandolfo is over the hill but I wish NJD handled this better. I have been a huge fan of the devils for years (have to have a second favorite when your team doesnt win the cup..im sure all you guys do as well) and pandolfo was a loyal devil. Sucks for him but probably the right move for the organization

Steve_Dangle

I was a little surprised to see O'Sullivan clear waivers, until I noted his -35 wasn't the temperature in Edmonton.

typical dangle, funny & insightful comment

Ryan is having trouble being signed in Anahiem. Murray has offered him a flat 5 year 25 million dollar deal and had it rejected. Ryan's camp said he didn't want AS much money as getzlaf and Perry, but hes pretty damn close. Its so far been quick rejections by Ryan's camp. So start the rumours.

Fabian stays with Dallas:
The Dallas Stars have agreed to terms with forward Fabian Brunnstrom on a one-year deal worth $675,000. The team announced the deal prior to an arbitration hearing that was scheduled for Friday morning.

He's not lived up to the hype, but giving him time to adjust and then develop is the right decision, .675 is a nice hit as well... though form his POV he's fucking buried...

and just because I haven't seen it on here:
Free agent forward Patrick Kaleta has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Buffalo Sabres worth $1.815 million, the club announced on Wednesday.

AHAHAHAHAHA
Hard-luck Vancouver Canucks defenceman Sami Salo has suffered an off-season injury. The Canucks say Salo suffered an Achilles tear while training and will be out indefinitely pending further evaluation.
I feel sorry for him, but damn the guy is hurt before he's even tied his skates!
