GDT - Final Week

Post by Bruyns »

Teams to watch:

ARI/CHI - Battle for 31st overall, CHI has the edge right now in a real tight race with only 19pts separating the two.

PHI/WAS - PHI up 36 points trying to hold off a surging WAS

NYI/NJD - NYI up 35 points on NJD with the winner potentially facing Lee and his likely 0 goalie starts next week

NJD/BOS - NJD are trying to catch NYI while holding off BOS who are 39 points behind.

MIN/NSH - Coming right down to the wire only 9pts apart and coming 1st is huge since you avoid DAL round 1.

CGY/COL/VGK - CGY is in, but VGK could catch them as they are only 25 points behind. VGK also have to worry about COL who are 34 points back of the final playoff spot.

BUF/TBL - I'm only 8.5 pts behind you too Matt for top spot in Atlantic. And with Miller being out d2d does provide a glimmer of hope (though fully expect him to be back to post a great last game of the week to pull you through easily, just like he did a couple of weeks ago that gave you a 12 pt swing!)

I have us as 55pts apart, doable since there are 128pts (16 cats X2 for a win X 4 matchups) up for grabs each week but figured it would be real unlikely.

Yeah, I was looking at the realtime fpts on fantrax after our first day yesterday that shows us 8.5 pts apart. Sure still unlikely, really need you to lose all goalie stats and a bit more and have me run the table, but still some hope. CAR's Markstrom with a shutout last night sure didn't help though.

He tried to come back again after reinjuring his groin too. It's probably just a short term injury and he will be back for week 1 or 2 of our playoffs.

Could be worse like Hong losing Morrissey for our playoffs.

I haven't had my best dman in Dumba since Dec 15th and he is out for atleast another month.

I wish Erik Karlsson would have been eligible for LTIR too, it would have been much easier to manage and my team would have been better , using the cap space for deadline deals or to dress Heiskanen

Minnesota(2) vs Calgary(7)
Nashville(3) vs Dallas(4)

First round western conference.
Blame it on the EK.

I've been missing last year's MVP for about the same amount of time. Couldn't even spend his LTIR room since NJ is still being so vague about the injury and if he will play again this season.
