Matthew wroteCOLONI was trying to get a system in my trade. I went after shestyorkin but mik wouldnt do the deal with him involved. I would have then been willing to pay the slightly high price for lundy and have the main pieces of nyr.
on the other hand, you spit on the easy chance to get 2/3 of Tampa Bay system!

well the guy does have 1/3 of that system. One could assume 2/3 is less bad than 1/3?

On the bright side, the last 2 weeks have been a lot more active, partially thanks to this issue.

So 2 worthless players are better than 1?

You mean Ri. Nash and Ri. Nash.

They would each need 3 letters to differentiate them lol

They all serve a purpose. I cant see anyone wasting 2 contract spots for what amounts to about 15 goalie gp though. Maybe that's just me.

A few years ago a few guys tried to implement a rule where we would always have the entire systems, and systems would be always have to be traded, and you would get all drafted goalies automatically.
I imagine the largest supporter of that is no longer a member in here
You are correct. It was Nick and bry. They are both gone.
Would be a terrible idea anyway.
Only way that could work is if we completely removed goalie prospects and just said that you use whatever goalie statistics come from a certain team. I doubt any fantasy website has that capability, and it's just not a sexy concept either.

It's a terrible concept. We try to mirror as closely as possible here. It would remove all goalie prospects from the entry draft and it would lock in goalies under contract you may not want. It would be a logistical nightmare and change player values. It was a dumb short sighted idea.

Is it not extremely difficult to maintain a goalie system for a team when we draft before the NHL does? Seems like a concept with a short shelf-life unless the goalie has a long-term contract.

It's the reason why that idea came into fruition. Some GM's got rich off of price gouging teams for every worthless piece of their system. GM's also have the ability to not pay it though. Shouldn't have to legislate stupidity.
