Ah, okay.
Better than losing him for nothing on waivers I guess. Doug Wilson pretty much came out and said he signed Schlemko anticipating he would be expansion bait. As a Sharks fan, he's extremely replaceable.

yea totally ... that's not a good trade/return at all IMO
Someone said it already, but if the plan was just to trade the pick, there were other players who you would think could of got you more than a 5th.
