Need to confirm draft lottery date.

Anyone know the date of the NHL draft lottery? Last year's was April 30th.

Usually end of April/early May...

Not announced yet, they usually announce it after playoffs start

April 29th - not official yet, this is per Elliot ... so 99%

The lottery will indeed be on the 29th.

we should probably do our expansion draft soon. It will promote a busy offseason. It will also give Tim something to trade.

i know a few of us don't plan to deal until expansion is over.

We're trying to pin down the official dates...we've been talking to Tim about when he's available to make his expansion draft picks. He's likely going to get a 5 day window after we submit our protected lists where he'll get make his choices. Our expansion draft will be before the traditional June 1 start to our entry draft.

Just to give people a heads up there is a good chance protection lists will be due May 15th so we have about a month.
