Please report before next roster lock any mistakes or omissions, including possibly remaining duals.

Also, GMs have time till next roster lock to ask for reassessment of their players should their FOR move above/below the 0.45 threshold along the remaining games of this week.

Due to the BBKL playoff postponement, trades are re-opened until our playoffs resume.

Please do confirmation of all trades in the Pending Trades forum on the main page during this time.

Also, trades are NOT to be done on fantrax. All trades in the Pending Trades thread will be pushed through on fantrax at the conclusion of the BBKL playoffs.

BBKL will follow phase 1 of the NHL lottery on Friday, June 26th.
Winning teams are not eligible to trade picks until all winning teams are identified.

***Note: In the unlikely scenario where the NHL does not identify which of the team's 8-15 have won the lottery, BBKL will use a simulator at a later date to re-do the entire lottery.

A formal announcement was never made about the situation with Boston missing GP this season:
Matthew wroteCOLONPointspergpskaters = 518 skater points / 753 total skater gp
Pointspergpskaters = .6879150066

Adjustment = Points per GP skaters (.6879150066) x Underlimitskaters (97)
Adjustment = 67 points

So Boston only moves back 1 spot, and nyr will move up 1 spot.

I'm willing to admit that I made a mistake last night in following incorrect standings. I had thought that I made the adjustment back in March but I was wrong.

Boston should've been the 4th place team in the standings and the Rangers should've been 3rd.

The correct order heading into last night's lottery:

1. Chicago
2. Montreal
3. N.Y. Rangers
4. Boston
5. Ottawa

Lottery results:

1st pick was drawn for the 12th team (St. Louis)
2nd pick was drawn for the 4th team (Boston)
3rd pick was drawn for the 3rd team (N.Y. Rangers)

Given the GP penalty for Boston to not be able to move up in the draft (because the team still owns their original pick), the 2nd pick can't be awarded to Boston. Instead, the Rangers who won the 3rd pick moves up to the 2nd pick.

Chicago as the highest ranked in the lottery order that wasn't a lottery winner assumes the 3rd pick.
Montreal is the next highest ranked and assumes the 4th pick.
Boston (unable to move up in the lottery), moves back to the 5th pick.

The official top 5 lottery order:

1. St. Louis
2. N.Y. Rangers
3. Chicago
4. Montreal
5. Boston

Hi everyone, I look forward to continue being a crap team for the next 3 years. My whole team is on the trade block. I'm not super interested in trading my top prospects for 3 of your mid tier ones, but everyone else can and hopefully will be moved. Lots of turnover.

This announcement is to point out changes to the IR/LTIR regulations that were made by CC during the Summer and already implemented in Shoalzie's new google sheets.

Here is the updated IR/LTIR regulation that was inserted in the CBA:
(section 3 from here: http://bbkl.ca/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1416 ... 04#p266401, hopefully final, for a long time at least)
3. INJURY

3-1 : Injuries are separated into two types: IR, Injured Reserve and LTIR, Long-Term Injured Reserve.

3-2 : Sufficient proof of a potentially mid/long term injury (i.e. any prognosis that remains vague about the return to play date - including day-to-day - or is week-to-week or longer) must be present in order to place the player on LTIR.

3-3 : Once a player is placed on LTIR he can not be dressed for a minimum of three (3) weeks.
3-3-1 : Once the player on LTIR plays an NHL game his GM is forced to remove him from LTIR at the following roster lock, putting him on IR instead if the minimum three weeks have not passed yet.
3-3-1-1 : Speculation the player should be back the upcoming week do not force the GM to take such player off LTIR at next roster lock (it is however an available option if the minimum 3 weeks have passed already).
3-3-1-2 : At the beginning of a new season a new link proving the player's persisting unavailability is needed even if the player was still on LTIR at the end of the previous season and hasn't played since.
3-3-2 : If a player that hasn't played in the NHL since going on bbkl-IR is moved to bbkl-LTIR, then the weeks he spent on IR count for the purposes of his minimum LTIR stay. That means LTIR can be used retroactively, like in the NHL. So for example, a player who already spent two weeks on IR is eligible to be dressed after staying just one (more) week on LTIR.
3-3-2-1 : LTIR can not be retroactive to the previous season. i.e. the weeks the injured player spent on IR at the end of the previous season do not count towards the minimum 3-weeks stay in LTIR.

3-4 : when a player is put on LTIR his AAV salary is temporarily removed from his team's overall cap hit [see new google roster sheets: flagging a player on IR means putting him on LTIR]
3-4-1 : the player's cap hit is again added to his team's overall cap hit for the week following the injured player's return to play in the NHL, no matter if the minimum 3-weeks period is not over yet. The player needs to be removed from LTIR on googledocs and, if 3 weeks have not passed yet since he was put on LTIR/IR, without the chance to put him back in the active lineup
3-4-2 : his team obviously needs to be cap compliant at the roster lock where the player is removed from LTIR (waving players if needed).

3-5 : When placing a player on IR no repercussions (advantages) ensue cap wise; i.e. his cap hit still counts. However, a roster spot becomes open for call up.

3-6 : Once a IR player plays a game in NHL, he must be returned to active (or bench) on his BBKL team by next roster lock.
Highlighted above the most important things, but changes/clarifications went beyond the highlighted parts.
Please read the entire thing and take note.

All forwards' positions (C/W) were updated earlier today on Fantrax, according to usual FOR regulations (0.45 threshold and 20 gp).

All duals should be gone in the process (and according to Fantrax, with the way we performed this starting update they should not come back for the rest of the season).

Please point out if you notice any mistake on your roster (it's possible, in particular for players who have yet to play 20 games in a single NHL season).

Make sure to adjust accordingly your lineup on Fantrax in order to make it legal ahead of tomorrow's roster lock.

Even if it is a shortened season, we will still have two in-season updates:

- the 1st in-season update will be performed during week #7 and will apply to week #8 roster lock on March 1st (most teams will have played 22/23 games by then, players will need 20 gp to qualify)

- the 2nd and final in-season update will be performed during week #12 and will apply to week #13 roster lock (last week of RS) on April 5th, trade deadline day.

Calculated Revised limits:

Skater GP Minimum: 525 games
Goalie Starts Limit: 45 starts
Goalie Starts Minimum: 20 starts

We will also take COVID numbers into consideration on a case by case basis.

Pertaining to Covid-19 BBKL IR/LTIR there will be 3 situations:

1. If an entire NHL team goes to covid protocol, meaning games will be delayed, but made up at a later date, then the players cannot go to ir/ltir since those delayed games will essentially be a scheduling change.

2. If an individual goes to covid protocol, with no official announcement on a positive diagnosis, then the player can go to IR.

3. If an individual goes to covid protocol, and the NHL announces the player has tested positive for covid, then the player can go to LTIR.

**note that regular LTIR rules apply. Player will not be available to return to BBKL lineup for 3 weeks. AND if player returns sooner than 3 weeks, the players must be move to BBKL IR such that their salary will be counted against the cap.

For this season only, we will be realigning similar to the NHL divisions

However, we are also pairing up divisions to form two conferences.

The East and Central Division will be in the Wales Conference.
The North and West Division will be in the Campbell Conference.

Our regular schedule will feature 56 matchups over a 13-week period. The regular season will end on Sunday, April 11. The schedule will feature matchups against all league opponents but more matchups will be played within division and conference.

Our playoffs will begin Week 14 (Monday, April 12). For our playoffs this season, the top 8 teams in each conference will make the playoffs. Our league final will only run for 1 week instead of the usual 2 weeks because of the shorter season.

The trade deadline will be Monday, April 5 prior to the final week of our regular season. However, the NHL trade deadline doesn't actually occur until April 12.

Due to the shorter regular season, the GP limits will be prorated:

Skater GP Minimum: 525 games
Goalie Starts Limit: 45 starts
Goalie Starts Minimum: 20 starts

= = = = =

The realigned divisions are already setup on Fantrax. If you have any additional questions about our league format for this season, post in the above thread

Thanks!
