Backstrom is a 100% legit starter, obv better than Harding and unless is traded will be the starter of a better Minnesota team next year.
If he is traded, he starts for his new team anyway.

Much longer means in the near future.. not just next year. Backstrom's getting up there and seems to be wearing down. I've never been a big Nicklas Backstrom fan though so I probably sell him short.

yeah, sorry mash, i stupidly mispelled while posting the deal, but i was typing in a rush, it was 3 a.m. here and i really needed to be in my bed like 2 hrs earlier.. then Niklas Backstrom went down and i had to stay up to pursue a deal for a G.. jeez..

Search purposes are important. I'm sure all would agree and we all know this deal was done prior to the deadline.

then yours it's a legit point, albeit i think if not for more hips' serious problems Backstrom will remain a starter for a couple of seasons at least.

As for his quality, we simply disagree.. i've always liked him and i think he is the main reason the Wild have managed to stay respectable this and past seasons.
