My first run at the Mock -listed in team order. Needs to shed a bit of cap, but that will be the case with any expansion team taking 30 players. I believe some players are still exempt, but this did not factor into my selections. Just went for BPA and sort out the rest later. On teams with not much to choose from, I was happy to see that goalies were available (Bernier, Allen) which will allow this team to trade Campbell for a very good return. Overall, should be able to contend and still pick-up some good pieces for the future. Great year for an expansion team.

why would he pick a guy like Lindblom rather than, say, Malkin?

unless he agreed to a deal where he gets paid to do so

34 with a 9.5M cap hit who has had some injury trouble. Contenders can't trade for that cap hit easily and rebuilders don't want him. Made sense for Casper to flip a similar old high paid player in Getzlaf+ since he needed offence but I think strictly based on trade value Malkin isn't that valuable. If Seattle was trying to win this year and had the cap space then sure Malkin > Lindblom.

Bc of his knees and there never been revealed what he need surgery on exactly that I have saw just that he might miss parts of the next season as well

Lee is a power forward over 30 years old. To me those are red flag players that you don`t take. Especially when there is a good young dman available. As for Gustavsson, his crease is blocked my Murray`s contract so not convinced he does anything at the moment. I like Katchouk to get some good games with Tbay next year as they will likely have to shed a bunch of players and he'll slide right in there. He owned the AHL, so interested to see what he does at the NHL level. Good risk/reward player.
